June is the first month of hectic dry season activity. School is about to break for holidays and community is in full swing for Funkhanas, State of Origins, working on the equine facility and the upcoming annual cricket match.

Working Bee to set up for the Funkhana is on FRIDAY from 4 pm followed by a sausage sizzle and bar facilities.

Sick of horse events yet? Don’t think so. If you see two lovely ladies riding horses up the Stuart Highway from now until mid July then say hello and give them a donation. They will ride 1000 km in 32 days. The ‘Horses for Courses’ – Ride for Bush Kids, will take place during the NT June/July School Holidays, 2017. Whilst the distance in excess of a thousand kilometres sounds rather daunting, we are doing it because that’s the kind of distance Isolated Children living in Rural and Remote areas of Australia deal with on a daily basis when it comes to education in the bush.
